Bag Lady Rocket EP Release Show w/ Always Manic, Cora Monroe, Kim Chin-Gibbons at Hawks & Reed

Bag Lady celebrates the release of their new EP “Rocket” at Hawks & Reed

Bag Lady is a thought-provoking crossover outfit from Greenfield, MA which was formed in 2014. We are known for our exciting stage presence, hard hitting lyrics and psychedelic blend of alternative, metal, melodic hardcore punk and emo styles. We have been dialing in our unique sound for the last decade and our fun, yet intensely cathartic performances are guaranteed to deliver a memorable, exciting experience to listeners from all walks of life!

Our current line-up consists of founder, songwriter, vocalist and lead guitarist Michael Grover, drummer Tim Jangl, (Back in ‘86, Tidwell’s Treasure) and bassist Fred Rigollaud.

Since our inception, we have put out two records independently; our first effort was a 5 song EP titled, Headtrip—released in December of 2019—followed by a 12 song LP, Epitome of Self-Neglect, released in May of 2022. Both albums, and the one we are here for, have been recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jim Fogarty, engineer at Mainline Recording in Westfield, MA, (formerly Zing Studios).

Always Manic is a rock band from Massachusetts. Their latest album “Grief” is available on all streaming platforms. Grief comes in stages. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance. This is what you should expect to hear on their album.

Cora Monroe released their debut self titled EP in December of 2023. Cora Monroe captured their “collective vision of crafting emo, post-hardcore, and grungy alt-rock. You can’t help but praise these elder emo millennials for showing today’s fifth wavers how to brandish influences — in this case, a worship of Sunny Day Real Estate, American Football, Thursday, Nirvana, and that certain white light bulb glow ruminating from early chapters of The Emo Diaries — while making the story your own” – +rcmndedlistening

Kim Chin-Gibbons is a Cambodian born, American raised artist in music, photography, marketing and more, debuting her first progressive post-math-rock single 4/5/23 after over a decade of releasing music with bands.
