Fruition, a band formed in Portland in 2008, began their journey by captivating audiences with raw, street-corner performances that brimmed with authenticity. Now, fifteen years strong, this group of five friends — anchored by three distinctive songwriters — has evolved into a powerhouse of Americana music.

Their latest album, “How To Make Mistakes,” marks a triumphant return after a hiatus forced by the pandemic. Recorded entirely live in Colorado’s eTown Hall studio, the album captures Fruition at their most unfiltered and vibrant. Co-produced by the bandmates themselves and mixed by their drummer, Tyler Thompson, the record showcases their blend of rock, soul, folk, and pop with a newfound clarity and depth.

Lead vocalists Jay Cobb Anderson, Mimi Naja, and Kellen Asebroek share not only frontperson duties but also a profound musical chemistry, evident in their harmonies and collaborative songcraft. This album, more than a mere collection of songs, is a testament to their resilience and growth as individuals and as a band.

As they continue to evolve, Fruition remains committed to crafting music that resonates deeply with both longtime fans and newcomers alike. Their latest album is not just a return to form but a reaffirmation of their place in the pantheon of American roots music, where honesty, collaboration, and a love for the craft shine through in every note and lyric.
